The Design Service

Acanthus Interiors was established in 2005 and we have a team of 3 designers who delight in helping you achieve both a beautiful and practical interior.

Initial Consultation

The process begins with an initial consultation in your home, where we assess the space, discuss what you are looking for and get a feel for the style and look you are wanting to achieve. This initial meeting is about defining the brief together, from which we then work to create an interior that both meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.

Design Concept

After this meeting we create concept boards that show you our proposed schemes for the rooms involved. These boards cover a variety of design elements from colour schemes, to wall and floor finishes, to furniture and lighting, to fabrics and window treatments, and finally to beautiful accessories to personalise the space. Some, or all of these elements may be required depending on the individual project.

Design Confirmation

Once the design concept is finalised we move into the design confirmation stage. Measurements are taken, layouts finalised and all elements of the job are quoted for. All our soft furnishings are made in house and we have a team of fabulous trades people that we work with. Final quotes may require some more detailed design or electrical drawings and we would confirm costs with you prior to proceeding.

Project Management

We can work on a supply only basis or fully manage your project as required. We can either charge you a fixed fee or add 20% to trade costs to cover the project management element of the design. Your designer will coordinate the various trades and oversee every element of the project through to completion.

Interior Styling Service

We offer a fun and inspiring styling service ideal for revamping that tired room or adding the finishing touches to a newly decorated space. We invite you into our store for an initial consultation, where we discuss your needs and get a feel of what you are wanting to achieve. This meeting also gives you a chance to look at some of our styling and flag up items that you might like to try. We then put together a personalised collection and bring it out to your home, for you to see how amazing that room could look and feel. We can also help you rearrange and incorporate your existing favourite things in a new and fresh way. This may involve rearranging seating layouts or mixing your treasured photos with some new styling pieces. The addition of fabulous lamps, the right coffee or side tables, amazing faux plants in lovely pots or beautiful candles will elevate your room into something welcoming and stunning. It’s great fun, you get to try before you buy, and you get the services of one of our experienced design team to help create a beautiful and unique space that is tailored to you. Design Service Costs

Costs are as follows: Initial consultation is £250 to be paid on booking the appointment. Design boards are £150 per room.
